Recently I picked with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras and I must say that I could not be more pleased with this lens. Now I must warn you that this is not a low cost lens by any means and the cost is $1,349.00 from Amazon. I set out to see if I could find this lens at a cheaper price and I learned that Canon sets the price and what I found was many vendors had the exact same price. Yes I could have possibly turned to eBay, but I did not. I considered purchasing this lens locally and there would have been a additional cost when you factor in tax. Therefore you can decide should you choose to purchase this lens what works best for you. Speaking with others that have a great deal more experience than I have, I learned that arguably this is one of the sharpest lenses that Canon makes.

To set the stage, I am just getting started with photography so I have a great deal to learn. That being said, today I grabbed my gear and headed out to a local national forest to take some water landscape photos and the following are the results.
I realize that these photos may not have been the best that you may have seen, but remember that I just started a couple months ago with digital photography, therefore any imperfections that you may see come from the operator, not the lens and camera.
